Tourism Coin Set


Israel's 45th  Anniversary of Independence Coin

This set of coins commemorates Israel's exceptionally rich natural and human landscape. Many thousands of Jews and Christians come to sanctify their holidays in the Holy Land to enjoy the many museums, archeological sites, unique markets, snow-capped mountains, semi-tropical Dead Sea and lovely beaches.


Description of the Coin

Front

The Sun and a boat sailing in the sea, hotel room key with tag engraved with the word "Israel" in Hebrew, and English. At the right, the Second Temple column and lintel of Baram synagogue, in Galilee.

Reverse

The denomination "1, 2 or 10" in the center with the date "1993/5753" in Hebrew and English. The word, "Israel" in Hebrew, English and Arabic with the State Emblem.

The uncirculated silver coin is mintmarked with a 6 pointed star beside the date. The proof coins are mintmarked with a Hebrew 'mem'.

Proof-Like: A Mint State coin struck on a standard quality planchet. The coin displays a mirror type finish, but of lesser degree than a full Proof strike. A small six pointed "Star of David" mintmark struck on the "Tourism" coin beside the date.

Proof: A coin which was made with special care. The coins are struck using polished dies. The planchets are specially selected and polished. The coins exhibit a mirror-like surface in the fields and a frosted appearance on the raised points of the coin. A small Hebrew 'mem' mintmark is struck on the "Tourism" coin beside the date.
