The American Israel Numismatic Society has sponsored Study Tours since 1969. Known as AINA, the organization was formed in 1967 and is an educational organization dedicated to the study and collecting of Judaic numismatics and collectibles. The medals were presented to the tour members by the Israel Government and Coins & Medals Corporation.
