Coin Description

Front: The emblem of the City of Hudson, King Neptune on the back of a whale with a mermaid in the background. The latin motto, "ET DECUS ET PRETIUM RECTI" (The Honor and Reward of the Virtuous). Around the rim, "City of Hudson - N.Y. - E. Pluribus Unum", with the sesquicentennial dates "1785 - 1935".

Reverse: In the center, Hendrik Hudson's three masted ship, the "Half Moon". The moon at left, alluding to the ship's name. In the field, "Hudson - In God We Trust". Around the rim, "United States of America - Half Dollar".
